What a Mess!

Look closely at the picture of Henry over there....yes, that's dirt. Completely covering his face. Actually his entire head. Okay, his whole body. This is how he comes in from playing outside in our backyard! Jonah is pretty much the same. (Only his goal is usually to see how much dirt he can cram up underneath his fingernails and toenails. Are girls like this, I wonder?)

And still I wonder how my floors can always be dirty. I really do sweep. A lot. And I feel like I'm forever vacuuming. I have a really nice steam cleaner for the carpets. Nobody even wears shoes in my house! But after looking at this picture, I'm beginning to get a clearer picutre of what is really happening to my clean house....

On a different note--Sam killed the biggest black widow spider that I have ever seen today. He knocked it out of an umbrella that was on our back porch and then stepped on it. It left a splatter on the patio about the size of our kitten. I might be exaggerating, but what can I say? I'm a Hasz. :) Then about twenty minutes later as Sam was cleaning up the garage, what do you think he found? Another black widow! I know we have lots of spiders around here, but some things about Texas are going to take me a little while to get used to!

perhaps you should have Sam install an outdoor shower. Then require the boys to strip down and shower before entering the house...you could put a washing machine out there for them. All of this should go on your porch so you'll really fit into East Texas

I found this too cute. I started out motherhood thinking I could dress my little girls in white and pink everyday. When they were old enough to play outside I soon learned that those colors had to go. How could little girls get sooo dirty. We had grass everywhere and Michigan grass is nice. I worked hard at keeping the house dirt free and was very thankful each night when I could have bath time with the kids and tuck them into their beds all clean and fresh one more time :)

Ashley, the twins, Ana . . . need I say more? I think it is just that they have Hasz blood!

My solution—lots of bubble bath. If the container is cute—I buy it!

BTW, I take it you haven't seen a tarantula yet? Oh yes, we have BIG tarantulas too!

I LOVE Kelly's comment! Yes, that would be the way to go!

the dirt I could deal with, I'm not so sure about the spiders....they sound kind of scary to me..I haven't been online for the last week, I've missed the updates.
