Soccer Star

Henry's first soccer game was this weekend. It's been quite a busy week for this little guy!
He only had one real practice before the game, and he wasn't quite prepared for what would go on during the game. So the first half he spent wandering around the field (nowhere near the ball), running off the field to give me and Sam kisses and hugs, or waving to Grammy and Grand-pop. It was hilarious! We actually got a cute little video but I can't get it to upload (yes, I'm technology-challenged!).

At some point he finally figured out that he could run with the pack. He wasn't too happy that ALL the kids wanted to kick the ball at the same time, but he did get to kick it a time or two (or in his words, "I got to score the ball!")

We had so much fun watching the game! Can't wait to see what will happen at next Saturday's game! :)

Too funny!! I love your updates on the boys' antics. They always bring a smile to my face.

By the way, I'm moving back to Texas on Sept 27, don't know if Sam told you or not.

I haven't been here in sooo long!
Bridget looks like a doll in the picture of her in your dress with the hat... totally like a doll!

Hope everything is going well for you guys! Henry is doing so much now! Preschool, soccer! What a big guy! Does Jonah miss him when he's gone?

Aren't they so cute?!? I love it when they don't really care about who wins, just wether or not they got to "score the ball". Great post.

So fun. Blake is doing Rugga...pee wee Rugby so it will be intereting to see what type of sport he actually ends up playing...whole different world over here. :-)

Brings back the soccer days with Lindsey. She enjoyed the sky much more than the ball. One season was plenty. Funny how she married a soccer-aholic, hehe.

Do you think when Henry becomes a famous soccer player he will still fun off the field to kiss you?
